Patient Transport

Minchinbury Community Hospital now runs a scheduled car service for patients. Our trained staff will take you from your home to Minchinbury Community Hospital. This service runs Monday to Friday. For further information contact us.

Wi-Fi

WiFi is available for patient use. Please ask a member of the Administration staff for access.

Television

Televisions are provided to all patients and with our high speed Wi-Fi, Netflix and Stan can be streamed to patients laptop’s or tablet’s.

Telephones

Each patient has his/her own telephone and local calls are free.

Mail

Mail is distributed daily to wards. Outgoing mail is posted daily.

Newspapers

Newspapers are delivered to the hospital daily.

Smoking

This hospital is a smoke-free environment. For the comfort of the patients and to assist with a speedy recovery, patients and visitors are requested not to smoke in the hospital or on hospital grounds.Smoking is not only a health hazard, but can be a potential fire hazard in hospitals.

Toiletries

Toiletries are available for purchase from the chemist. Please ask your Registered Nurse to arrange for delivery.

Alcohol

Wine is offered on the dinner menu. Alcohol in moderation is permitted only with your doctor’s permission and when not contra-indicated by medication or other treatment.

Clergy

Representatives of all denominations may be contacted through the Registered Nurse.

Justice of the Peace

Similarly, should you require the services of a Justice of the Peace, your Registered Nurse will make enquiries on your behalf. Hospital staff are not permitted to ‘witness’ documentation.
